A seal with excellent mechanical and thermal properties.
The Deventer Weatherseal’s closed cell foam structure is made with high quality material TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) and TPS (thermoplastic elastomer foam) which have excellent mechanical and thermal properties.
Temperature range: Suitable for the UK climate as it can resist temperatures from -40°C to +180°C.
Age resistant: The seal is weathering, UV and ozone resistant.
Flexibility: Good deflection recovery, extremely low closing force and copes with high tolerances.
Suitable for smoke proof doors: It is smoke-resistant up to 200oC, complying with NEN 6075 and EN 1634-3. It is also available as 60 minute fire resistant on demand.
Insulation: Optimal insulation properties of the TPE and TPS materials. The hard back of the seal fits securely in the groove and the seal is engineered for overstretch protection to ensure perfect corner joints.
Noise: Suitable for sound reduction up to 40db.
One of the benefits of having a timber door over a uPVC door is that the seals can be replaced on timber doors if they are ever damaged.
