Ultion 3* solid secure diamond lock

Many properties have doors fitted with multi-point locks and expensive alarms to alert of any intrusion, but only feature cheap cylinders as standard. Yet, the most common method of burglary is to snap cylinders as it is a fast and quiet method which requires almost no skills.

Certification: Ultion’s cylinder is police Secured By Design, has the highest Kitemark star rating available and is also certified Sold Secure Diamond by the Master Locksmith Association. Ultion are so confident in their locks that they offer a £1,000 guarantee if an intruder breaks in by unlocking the locked door.

Lockdown mode: When Ultion detects an attack, a hidden firing pin at the core of the cylinder secures the central cam, stopping the door from being opened. The cylinder snaps safely in a controlled way, stopping anyone on the outside to use the handle to open the door.

Twice as many pins: Most security locks have 5 or 6 pins but Ultion uses 11 anti-pick pins instead, giving 294,970 possible key combinations. Only 100,000 combinations are required for banks, meaning that Ultion is 3 times harder to pick, for the highest standard.

Drill safe: At both ends of the lock, 20 hardened steel pins and plates are positioned precisely to block attempts at drilling.

Key Control: Every purchased key can be registered in its owner’s name and no-one else can obtain a copy without authorisation. The key is linked to its owner and a message is sent by Ultion as an early warning when a copy is made. Cylinders can be keyed alike for other doors as an option.

High strength material: The lock is made with molybdenum, a super-alloy with a very high melting point which can withstand pressure of up to 300,000 pounds per square inch (and which is even used for military aircrafts). Each pin and plate is made from hardened steel.

Self-cleaning: The edge of the key is perfectly cut to match the contour of the cylinder’s surface, thereby stopping dust and other debris from jamming the lock over time.
